The second Loser’s Bracket of the PUBG Global Championship 2022 (PGC) has wrapped. Four teams are headed to the Grand Final while everyone else has one more chance to stay alive in the Grand Survival.
Loser’s Bracket 2 was the final Loser’s Bracket of the PGC. It included teams from the bottom half of the Winner’s Bracket and the top half of Loser’s Bracket 1. Only two stages of the tournament remain, the Grand Survival and Grand Final.
Let’s break down how the remaining Americas teams did, including Wildcard Gaming and Soniqs.
On To The Grand Final
Wildcard Gaming played a fantastic hand during this stretch of ten matches. Two chicken dinners, four top four finishes, and 49 kills land them in second place. The performance will send them straight to the Grand Final. Only Question Mark was able to outperform them on the leaderboard.
The competition in Loser’s Bracket 2 was stiff. Three teams were less than ten points away from qualifying, making Wildcard Gaming’s performance all the more impressive.
This squad is the only team from the America’s to make it out, unfortunately. Adam Didiano and crew will join eUnited and Yaho in the Grand Final when it begins on Nov. 17.
One Last Chance
Soniqs didn’t have a finish above seventh place during Loser’s Bracket 2. 28 kills landed them in 14th place, far from where they needed to be to make it to the Grand Final.
Tristan “Shrimzy” Nowicki and company still believe they can pull off what they call the “dream run” and make it to the Grand Final. This team has had a great run during Americas play against other PGC Grand Final teams, so we believe they’re capable of it.
Soniqs need to win one of four matches in the Grand Survival in order to not be eliminated. 16 other teams – including 22 Esports – will be trying to do the same thing when the Grand Survival begins on Nov. 14.
