RULING:

M1ME has received a 30-day game ban, effective as of April 6, 2021, for an incident that occurred during a live personal Twitch stream, not during a tournament broadcast. M1ME is a professional PUBG North American player, and this game ban will make him ineligible to participate in any PUBG competitive events during the banned period.

IMPACT ON UPCOMING ESPORTS EVENTS:

M1ME will not be eligible to participate in the ESL PUBG Masters: Americas Phase 1 based on the start and length of the ban.  M1ME will be eligible to participate in any esports events starting May 6, 2021. 

RELEVANT RULES:

PUBG’S RULES OF CONDUCT – POLICIES OF MISCONDUCT – SECTION 4) DO NOT DISCRIMINATE AGAINST OTHERS:

It is unacceptable to disrespect or use offensive words towards others based on their race, gender, nationality, etc. Please be friendly and respectful towards all players.

ESL PUBG MASTERS: AMERICAS PHASE 1 RULEBOOK – SECTION 12, SUBSECTION C. PLAYER ELIGIBILITY: 

Participants must have an active and eligible PUBG account. Players with a game ban of longer than seventy-two (72) hours are not considered active or eligible.  However, the Administration reserves the right to review the situations on a case by case basis and decide accordingly.  For example, any game bans, regardless of length, associated with cheating allegations, will render the player inactive and ineligible to participate.

PENALTY FOR DISCRIMINATORY BEHAVIOR:

Discriminatory behavior violates PUBG’s Rules of Conduct and is subject to a 30-day ban as this is the first infraction.
