ESL Masters Phase 2 – Grand Final Preview

by PUBG Esports

We’re days away from the ESL PUBG Masters: Americas Phase 2 Grand Final. The action has been spicy so far, with some of the top teams from the Americas popping off in spectacular fashion. Soniqs took home first place in the North American Regional Playoff while everyone’s favorite cavemen, the Trogloditas, came out on top in the Latin America Regional Playoff.

After half a month of competition, sixteen teams remain in the hunt for a chunk of the $50,000 prize pool. The only remaining step of ESL PUBG Masters: Americas Phase 2 is the 30 matches left in the Grand Final. All those matches will be packed into six days at the tail end of July.

Who’s playing in the Grand Final?

After weeks of hard fought competition, sixteen teams between Latin America and North America will come together once again to fight for some fresh big stage chicken. Here are all the teams still fighting for the first place trophy:

Many of the teams who took part in the PUBG Continental Series 6 Americas are present for this final stretch of competition, as well as a handful of fresh faces. Only one team – Tokyo Manji Gang – fought through the Open Bracket in North America. We’ll be interested to see if they can push themselves even further over the hump in the Grand Final. Other fan favorites, like Spicy Fish and YAHO, are back to grace Erangel and Miramar with their presence once again.

This is the second to last chance for these sixteen teams to earn PGC points in 2022. The available points are also amplified compared to earlier tournaments this year. Here is that PGC point breakdown:

The Grand Final will take place over the course of six days. Five matches will be played on each match day. Here is the remaining schedule for ESL Masters PUBG Americas Phase 2:

  • Grand Final:
    • July 22nd to 24th
    • July 29th to 31st
