The wait is finally over! Soon, sixteen of the region’s best teams will descend onto the battlegrounds for the PUBG Continental Series 5 Americas Grand Final. Two regional Group Stages have promoted twelve teams with an additional four squads arriving via the Last Chance Qualifier. Regardless of the path each team has taken, the PCS5 Americas Grand Final is setting up to be one of the season’s most exciting events.

Competing for a $250,000 USD prize pool and qualification points to PUBG Esports’ biggest event of the year, stakes are at an all-time high for the PCS5 Americas Grand Final. PGC Qualification Points will be awarded based on final placement at the end of the event, ultimately deciding which teams will represent the region at the PUBG Global Championship later this season.


Sixteen teams have earned their spot in the final battle for PGCC 2021. Six from the North America Group Stage, six from the Latin America Group Stage, and four from the Last Chance Qualifier. These teams will compete across thirty-six matches over the span of six days. Gameplay has been divided into three separate weeks, with prize money awarded based on placement each week. Weekly payouts increase as the event continues, making it easier for teams to stay in the mix as the event progresses.

At the end of the event, the overall placement of a team will determine how many PGC Points they’re awarded. The PCS5 Americas Grand Final Champion will be awarded a direct invite to the PUBG Global Championship. This is one of the most important aspects of the PCS5 Americas Grand Final and will decide the fates of nearly every team.


Be sure to catch the start of the PCS5 Americas Grand Final on Thursday, September 16th, and each Thursday and Friday for the following two weeks. Each day six matches will be played as teams compete to collect the most number of Chicken Dinners for the week. The opening match of each game day begins at 4 PM PT / 7 PM EST.

Qualification Points towards the 2021 PUBG Global Championship will be awarded based on a team’s final placement following three weeks of play. The PCS5 Americas Grand Final Champion will earn a direct invite to PUBG Esports’ biggest event of the season.

  • 1st Place – PGC 21′ Invite
  • 2nd Place – 330 Points
  • 3rd Place – 265 Points
  • 4th Place – 220 Points
  • 5th Place – 175 Points
  • 6th Place – 130 Points
  • 7th Place – 110 Points
  • 8th Place – 90 Points
  • 9th & 10th Place – 65 Points
  • 11th & 12th Place – 50 Points
  • 13th & 14th Place – 30 Points
  • 15th & 16th Place – 20 Points

Prize money payouts gradually increase each week, keeping more teams within striking range as the tournament progresses. First place in Week One awards $17,000 USD, while the first place award in Week Three pays out $29,000 USD. No matter how your favorite team starts the event, the increasing prize money keeps them involved as we continue through the event.
