PCS6 Americas Last Chance Qualifier Preview

Coverage

by PUBG Esports

This Saturday is the PUBG Continental Series 6 (PCS6) Americas Last Chance Qualifier (LCQ).

16 Teams from the North America and LATAM PCS6 Regional Playoffs will be battling it out for the final four spots in the PCS6 Grand Final and their portion of the $20,000 USD Prize Pool.

The pressure is on.

From LATAM

The 8 teams from LATAM are Free Agents, Young Kings, Sistematicos, Nice Try, Synergy Esports, Underdogs, KPI Gaming, and From the Ashes. JUST 2 EASY and Free Agents were tied at the 7th position in the LATAM Regional Playoff, both a single point away from their spot in the Grand Final; however, JUST 2 Easy qualified for the Grand Final due to Mutariumm’s disqualification as they owned the tiebreaker (more kills) over Free Agents.

However, Young Kings and Sistematicos are only one and two points behind, respectively. The razor-thin margin of these 4 teams from making it into the Grand Final is sure to have stung and will add fuel to their fires. Expect them to come out the gates strong and to make sure that they don’t miss out on the Grand Final again.

From NA

The 8 teams from NA are Soniqs, Spicy Fish, Built By Gamers, Nootropic, Wildcard Gaming, The Rumblers, Dodge, and 4 Funners. Soniqs is a seasoned team that is very comfortable at the top of the leaderboard. Their near-miss of the Grand Final is bad news for the rest of the teams in the LCQ.

However, Wildcard Gaming missed out on a PCS6 NA Regional Playoff invitation by 5 points in the ESL PUBG Masters Americas Regional Playoff. They battled their way through the PCS6 NA Open Qualifiers all the way to the LCQ. After their storied journey so far, they are extremely motivated for it to continue, but there are 15 other teams working so that they don’t.

Cross-Continental Rematches

What is even more exciting about the LCQ is that many of these teams have played against each other in the ESL PUBG Masters Grand Final. While it is easy to base favorites on their standings, playing against teams from another country is a gamechanger. Each team could be the perfect counter to another. It could be anyone’s game. It will come down to who can adjust, adapt, and advance.

PCS6 Americas LCQ begins Saturday, March 26, 2022, at 4 PM PDT on Twitch.
