PCS7 Americas LCQ Preview

Coverage

by PUBG Esports

The PUBG Continental Series 7 Last Chance Qualifier is here. As its title suggests, this is the last chance these 16 teams will get to earn a spot in the Grand Final. Eight teams from both North America and Latin America will butt heads this weekend, but only the top four will earn a spot in the finale. Everyone else goes home.

The Last Chance Qualifier will kick off on August 27th at 4:00 pm PDT. Teams will also be fighting for a chunk of a $20,000 prize pool. First place will take home $2,250.

Teams to Watch

Some of North America’s top squads have found their way down the Last Chance Qualifier hole. YAHO, along with the incredible Pedro “sparkingg” Ribeiro, and Bing Bang Boom are just one tournament away from either a spot in the Grand Final or a ticket home. Both should make it out if these teams play the way we know they can.

AKM Gaming and Young Kings are two teams to keep an eye on from Latin America. Both qualified through their performance at ESL Masters Phase 2 and were right on the cutoff during the Regional Playoff. The Last Chance Qualifier, however, is a different beast altogether. Both squads will have to improve on recent performances if they hope to take out North American teams.
