PNC 2022 – Americas Selection Methodology

Announcement

by PUBG Esports

We know you are all excited for the PUBG Nations Cup announcement from last week, and we want to keep the excitement going as we head into the PCS6 Americas Grand Final this weekend. We’ve broken down all of the details on the player selection methods for the participating Americas countries below!

The PUBG Esports Americas region will be represented by four countries in PNC 2022:

  • Argentina
  • Brazil
  • Canada
  • United States

Each of these rosters will be filled with 4 players and 1 coach from their respective country. These teams will be battling it out for a share of the $500,000 prize pool and to be recognized as the best PUBG Esports country in the world!

To fill these roster spots, we’re going to be rewarding performance at the PCS6 Americas Grand Final and conducting a vote among top players. The 5 total roster spots will be filled as follows:

  • Roster Spot #1: MVP of the PCS6 Americas Grand Final participants from the respective country. The MVP will be decided by an internal calculation taking into account kills, assists, knocks and damage.
  • Roster Spots #2-4: Popular vote between pro players, voted by pro players.
  • Coach: Will be mutually decided by the above four players.
  • Note: There is a roster restriction of 2 team members per country.

The first roster spot will be announced on the final day of PCS6 Americas Grand Final and the remaining spots will be announced in a future blog post. Be sure to tune in and stay in touch with all the PCS6 action!
